Photo Quilts + Installations

I play with motif and abstraction in this series, originating from images I captured of ice patterns, rust, peeling paint and barren corn stalks in a snowy Vermont field. The collages in the start of this gallery were composed of photos I digitally arranged into patterns and the next installments were from photos I printed out on a thin Hahnemuhle archival rice paper and physically arranged on the wall. The final installation was created from red yarn and ink paintings on newsprint. The next phase will be to sew the photos together into paper quilts.
