Mixed Media

This gallery consists of 2 bodies of work: 1. Recent mixed media abstracts using colored pencil, watercolor, gesso, acrylic, conte crayon, graphite and collage on illustration board and 2. textural mixed media on ampersand clay board from my 2022 exhibit, “By a Thread” at The People’s Building in Aurora, CO. Techniques including carving, layering, sewing, and scrubbing were utilized. I was inspired by the urban decay I observed on my daily walks in the city of Denver. I love the “anything goes” freedom inherent in mixed media.
